The largest national yoyo contest in Europe, Czech YoYo Nationals, is less than a month away! This year the organisation team (Josefina represents the YOYO STORE) decided to change the location again (and rightly so if you ask me) so the contest will take place on the 22nd of October at the La Fabrika. Located in the Prague hip district of Holešovice, it offers a great space for an event of this kind.

As always you can look forward to a massive spectrum of divisions. 1A for beginners, advanced players as well as pros. Alternative divisions are set to open as well as an open division for international players. After a massive success at this years North YoYo Contest, the organisers decided that the Royal division (for players who are active for more than 10 year) is so much fun that it needs to happen on a national level as well. There’s also a big demand for small, fun, unofficial contests so make sure you bring your kendama and alternative skills with you.

Rule changes

The biggest change is the qualification system in 1A Elite division. Tricklist has been replaced by a WildCard system in case that more than 40 people decide to compete in this most popular category. The second, noticeable change are much harder tricks in the 1A Advanced tricklist. These guys had it easy for way too long 🙂

The registration is already open. The first price increase is due to happen on the 7th of October. Online registration closes on the 16th. So make sure to register by then.

Practice, register, hype, save up! The highlight of the Czech yoyo season is almost here!
